Kuwait is a pioneer in the region in providing governmental housing to its citizens since 1954. Providing an adequate housing for low income families is the principal objective of the Kuwait Public Authority for Housing Welfare. It has built thousands of low cost houses and plans to build thousands more in the coming few years.
